Lombard Gospel Chapel Sunday School
Dedicated, experienced teachers help your child explore God s written word and set a foundation on which to build a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ. We feel your child's spiritual education is very important. We have fun filled classes for children from 2 years old through high school each Sunday morning at 11:00 am. The children in the lower grades gather for singing every Sunday in the Lower Level Sanctuary, while the other students go directly to their classes. We would welcome your child to our Sunday School Program!

What is AWANA?
The name is taken from II Timothy 2:15 and is an acronym for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, referring to people who are familiar with the Bible, one of the main goals of AWANA.
Lombard Gospel Chapel's AWANA Clubs are for boys and girls from pre- school through Junior High ages. Our leadership is dedicated to teaching the principles set forth in God's Word in order to establish a foundation for their faith.
Your kids will get excited as they come join us in this structured, well- prepared program. The clubs are divided into three segments: Game Time where they will have a blast as they take part in running and coordination events as teams, which fosters cooperation and encouragement of others. Hand Book Time where personal
achievement is emphasized learning Bible verses and the importance of God's Word in directing their lives.
The handbooks the children work on at home also stress the importance of the family, patriotism and helping others. During Counsel Time the children sing rousing Christian songs and hear challenging, interesting Bible stories. Your kids will discover the importance of being team members, studying the Bible, discipline and respect for authority in an environment with ample, caring, adult supervision.

Youth Ministry
There are many opportunities for students in 6th through 12th grade to get involved in at Lombard Gospel Chapel.
For Junior High and Middle School students we have a fun Sunday School program that includes singing, praying. and lessons from the Bible that will help students live Christ-like lives. On Friday nights from September through May at 7:00-9:00, we have Junior Varsity (JV). We play games, sing songs, pray for each other, study the Bible, and of course we have snacks! About once a month we have a special activity. These have included miniature golf, a boat tour of downtown, a Great America trip. ice skating, rock climbing, and trips to Wisconsin.

For High School students we also offer a Sunday School class. Then on Wednesday nights we have For High School students we also offer a Sunday School class. Then on Wednesday nights we have Uth Nile from 7:00-8:30. It's a lot of fun when we play games, pray for each other, and learn from the Bible how we can grow spiritually and tell others about Jesus Christ dying on the cross to save us from the death penalty of sin that we owe. We also have special trips like paintball. miniature golf. going through a corn maze. going to see a Chicago Wolves game. a Spring Break trip to North Carolina, and a Mission Trip to an Indian reservation in Minnesota.
In the Fall through the Spring, we have an open gym to play basketball every Tuesday night. This is open to all 6th through 12th grade students. We would love to have you join us for any of these programs. Come on out! from 7:00-8:30.
