OUR GOAL:
To enable women to develop by:

REACHING UP - to be women of worship and prayer.

REACHING IN - to be women of the Word, applying it to our lives and sharing it with each other.

REACHING OUT-sharing God's Word with others wherever God has placed us.
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others,
faithfully  administering God's grace in its various forms."    1 Peter 4:10


The purpose of the Women's Ministry Committee is to provide leadership for the
women of Lombard Gospel Chapel. We desire each woman to develop the GIFTS
God has given her and to put them into full use for the Glory of God.


The committee functions in the following five primary areas:

Service Ministry
Food Service Committees:
Responsible for potluck meals, showers, refreshments for special occasions, etc
Meals and Flowers:
 for the ill, hospitalized or homebound
Nursery Staff:
Child-care during the Sunday services and other special meetings
Coffee Break:
Serving coffee during break on Sunday mornings
Kitchen Supplies:



Hospitality Ministry
Adult Fellowship:
Special events, parties, and get-together
Friendship Dinners:
Dinners held in various homes.
Hospitality for Speakers:
Hosting Sunday speakers for dinner. A sign-up sheet is posted in the Chapel office.
Adopt-a-Student:
Small group Bible Studies "adopt" a college student for the year.



Spiritual Ministry
Telephone Chain:
Used to inform the Chapel family of urgent prayer needs.
Chapel Prayer Warriors:
 Women regularly praying for chapel women, regardless of a known need.
Secret Pals:
 Women paired for a year to pray for and remember each other with inexpensive gifts.
Special Spiritual Outreaches:
Christmas Craft Brunch, Spring outreach, etc.


Communications Ministry
The Chapel Chatter:
 Published bi-monthly. Writers are always welcome!
Sunday Morning Greeters:
Serve at the front door to greet guests, answer questions and assist newcomers.
Bulletin Boards:
Regularly update one of two bulletin boards for special times,
themes, or seasons.



Missions Ministry
Missions Committee:
Plan women'smissionary meetings during the year.
Key Ladies:
Working with other chapels toplan the Fall Women's Conference and the Spring Missionary Conference on a rotating basis.
Campbell Soup Labels & Canceled Stamps:
Packaging and sending the labels and stamps that have been collected in containers in the basement.
