“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”

— Ephesians 6:18

Thank you LGC family for your faithful prayers!

Please let Sharon Stultz know if you have any new prayer requests for publication in the Prayer & Praise email only, at dan@stultzphoto.com by Monday at NOON.

The Schiltzes:

Eight teens are now signed up for Chicago Crossroads: Engaging World Religions, which begins later this month. Over five weeks, we will visit a mosque, a Buddhist meditation center, a Turkish community center and a Hindu temple. Along the way, we’ll try new foods and hear some powerful stories.

The purpose is to expose students to the mission field around us and help them to think biblically about engaging people from other backgrounds. Please pray for the relationships we are building with the centers we visit and pray for the students who have signed up.

The international student hosting program that connected us with students at College of DuPage has officially ended. Our students, Namig and Defne, returned to their home countries of Azerbaijan and Turkey last week. While this program has concluded, over 100 international students are on campus each semester without any connection to Christians. Please pray for the Lord's guidance as we connect with students this summer and into the fall.

The Luibrands:

Please continue to pray for these items:

for spiritual fruit to result from the annual retreat that our church attended near Istanbul

● for all preparations to be completed in time for our upcoming furlough

● for God to provide funds to buy a permanent meeting space for our church, since our current space is being put up for sale by its owner

Other requests

Please pray:

For VBS – the days of preparation, the leadership team, volunteers, joy in service, protection and safety, impactful lessons, salvation of children and outreach to families, spiritual growth, that Christ would be glorified.

For the high school missions trip to assist the Frasers and conduct VBS on the reservation in Minnesota.

For those seeking employment.

For Tom Hephner as he performs the duties of the director of activities. For the elders as they perform the remaining duties of the director of pastoral ministries.

For those suffering around the world, for peace in the Middle East, Ukraine and elsewhere, and for unrest in our nation.

For those at LGC who have unspoken needs.

For our college students and Pre-K – 12 students to know Christ and honor him in all areas of their lives. For the educators who attend LGC.

For officials in our government on the local, state and national levels – that God would protect their lives and help them to serve with humility and wisdom. Pray they would honor biblical principles in their decisions.

For strength that Christians live without fear and find ways to reach out and encourage others.

Continue to pray for these areas of need and for people with ongoing health issues:

Pray for our nation, our troops, many suffering around the world, Randy Behnken, Collin Bray, Vodus Campbell, Elaine Caper, Arlene Difino, Jim & Janice Drechsel, Fran Gouley, Sofia Hernandez, Dik Kaiser, Lorraine Kirkland, Nel Lair, Rob Marshall, LaRue Mills, Jenny Schmuldt, Dolores Schultz and those working with our children and young people, friends and family members who may not know the Lord and those with special needs.
