“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”

— Ephesians 6:18

Thank you LGC family for your faithful prayers!

Please let Sharon Stultz know if you have any new prayer requests for publication in the Prayer & Praise email only, at dan@stultzphoto.com by Monday at NOON.

Pray for John-Luke Hamilton and family as he seeks a job in Florida. Pray for the Lord’s guidance and provision and for Jenny and their children who are already in Florida and apart from John-Luke.

Pray for our college students as they return to their campuses. Pray that they begin the semester in good health, refreshed and strengthened in their faith.

The Papworths:

Pray for our team of Iranians in a country near Iran who are working on producing new Unshackled drama programs. Voice of Christ Media is the Farsi producer of Unshackled. One of our Oregon-based Iranian producers will be doing some training with them over Zoom. Pray that the training will go well.

Recently, the conversion stories of this Iranian producer and his wife were dramatized on Unshackled in English. Their real names were not used because of security precautions. You might be interested in listening to these programs, and this might encourage you to pray for them.

Levi and family:

There have been several security related problems for gospel workers in the Middle East recently. A local believer we know from a Muslim background was detained and threatened by authorities because of his witness.

In a separate situation, a gospel worker was imprisoned for three days before being expelled, and two other families had their residency visas denied and were forced to leave their country of service. Please pray with us for protection of the believers in the Middle East and the appropriate combination of courage, boldness and wisdom.

The Schiltzes:

Praise the Lord for sweet baby Gwenyth’s health and safe delivery last month. Pray for Amy in her swift recovery from the C-section delivery. We thank the chapel family for supporting us with visits, phone calls and meals over the past few weeks. We love and appreciate all of you so much.

We are gearing up for a new school semester of outreach at College of DuPage! Praise God for the college administration’s interest in connecting international students (over 100, many of them from unreached people groups) to Christian families for friendship in DuPage County. Also, please pray for our evangelism team at this semester’s Bible tables as we engage Muslim (and international students) for Christ, with boldness and gentleness.

Caleb Hansen and Kevin have been meeting weekly in Glendale Heights with a Turkish man for Bible study in the Gospel of Matthew. Mehmet was a contact made through LGC’s English Conversation Club via another Turkish friend in the spring. Pray for us as we study with Mehmet and share truth from God’s Word with him, and that he would believe in Jesus the Messiah.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13, NIV).

The Bells:

New Censorship Obstacles

This week our team discovered new restrictions imposed by our host country designed to limit access to our target people group, and, ultimately, keep people from reading the Bible. We are investigating several ways to bypass these restrictions and, thankfully, have some promising ideas.

We invite you to join us in asking our good Father to make a way for us to continue sharing the Bible with least-reached Muslims!

New Engagement Opportunities

Every day, hundreds of least-reached Muslims visit our Bible website.

Some dive deeply into Scripture, like Abbas*, who has spent hours reading the Bible on our site, even while on a trip to Mecca!

Others arrive with apparent eagerness, but leave quickly, seemingly unsure how to begin reading or understanding it.

We see an incredible opportunity to help them. That is why we’re developing a new website designed to make the Bible more accessible for those encountering it for the very first time.

Please join us in praying for wisdom and skill as we create tools to help the least-reached engage with, and be transformed by, the Word of God.

The Frasers:

We had a gospel booth at the county fair last weekend. Next to our booth was a group from a college in the UP of Michigan. Two of the people there were Muslim. Adnon is from Jordan and Maliha is from Afghanistan. We had a great time visiting with them and had a profitable conversation, especially about the gospel. They seemed very open to the Good News.

Since I couldn’t be at the fair on Sunday, Deb gave Adnon some gospel resources for Muslims. I had recently been thinking about visiting a radio network in that area, so Kim mentioned to Adnon that I’d like to reconnect with him soon. He offered his phone number without being asked for it. Please pray for Adnon and Maliha.

Although only one young man attended Sunday night’s Bible study at the jail, it was providential that we were alone as he was able to open up in a way that he likely wouldn't have in a group setting. Austin is a member of a Native gang from Minneapolis. He has had a very difficult past and is presently living an extremely violent life. He thinks he has PTSD because of the things he has done to others.

During a previous time in prison, Austin read some portions of the Bible. He told me about Moses and the blood being put on the door. From there we talked about how that is a picture of what God wants to do for us in Jesus. There is nothing too hard for the Lord. Please pray for Austin.
